Refreshed and ready!

It’s me, Jen, I wanted to give you a little update on life and ministry.

This month I turn 60 and I’m here for it.  In February, some very generous friends gifted me (and Brenda) a week away in Mexico to celebrate the big year.  It’s been a long time since I’ve had the opportunity to get away and play.  We had an amazing time enjoying the sun, resting, playing, eating fantastic food, and taking time to rejuvenate the heart and soul.  Thank you so much for this gift (you know who you are)!

A day after I arrived home from vacation I headed to Denver, CO for YFC’s XL Summit.  I can’t express in words how much my Youth For Christ family lifts me up.  Being together to hear stories from all over the Country what God is doing through the ministry of YFC.  It’s so cool to be a part of this incredible organization.  

Once again I came home challenged, loved, and energized to serve alongside so many wonderful friends.  Each leader has the same mission, to reach young people everywhere.  If you’re on social media, look them up, it’s worth it.

Today’s scripture reading is perfect.

Philippians 2:13
For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases him.

My heart and soul are stronger today more than ever to please and honor God. I may not always know what the plan is but He does and it’s the best plan ever.

The last few months have been very busy but so good. Thank you Lord for rest and new energy to use in this community to love and meet young people through Mid-Valley Youth For Christ, Juvenile Justice Ministry.
